One aspect of the University of Arizona Health Sciences’ mission is to improve health and human potential through scientific investigations to solve critical health care problems. In support of this mission, a standardized and regulatory-compliant; privacy protected repository for biospecimen processing and storage was created. This initiative allows for collaborations between investigators and allows internal and external investigators to reduce costs, redundancies, and risks associated with alternative bio-banking strategies. The CTSI Biorepository Service Unit provides support for basic, clinical. and epidemiological research studies involving specimen collection processing, annotation, and inventory management.

Biobank Services

The Biorepository serves as the coordinated infrastructure for the standardized collection, processing and banking, and allocation of high-quality biospecimens.
