Biobanking Services

The Biorepository serves as the coordinated infrastructure for the standardized collection, processing and banking, and allocation of high-quality biospecimens. The Biorepository is responsible for providing full-service biospecimen banking operations including specimen collection and processing, storing and maintenance of up-to-date specimen inventory and specimen distribution. Below is a list of our current services:

  • Banking and allocating the following:
    • Plasma
    • Serum
    • Blood in long-term storage preparations for DNA or RNA
    • Viable cells and tissue
    • Tissue in long-term storage preparations
    • Stool
    • Urine
    • CSF
    • Biological Stones
    • Saliva
    • Blood Clots
    • Swabs
    • Any other biological specimens 
  • Assistance with the design of long-term research sample analysis
  • Analysis on quality of plasma, serum, and molecular samples
  • Shipping of samples to desired location
